Trophy Trout Camp- $4295

This week is centered on helping anglers develop the skills necessary to consistently find and catch trophy trout. During the day guests will fish with guides that will help them target large trout. In the evenings guides/instructors will offer a daily class to help further develop the skills necessary to repeatedly catch trophy fish. Camp will be rustic, but comfortable with wall tents, cots and mattresses. Camping allows us to move to different lakes and rivers to target different species and fish only the most productive waters. Trips are Sunday (hotel checkin, fishing begins on Monday)-Saturday. Trip dates are June 9- 15, 2024. There is a 3% processing fee for credit cards.

Fishing

Fishing starts Monday morning after breakfast. We will will depart camp to target brook, cutthroat, splake and tiger trout. Each day will be unique as we are free to move around to target several species in multiple lakes and streams. The focus of the trip will be targeting trophy fish, however there are several lakes and streams offer fast fishing for smaller fish in the area.

The goal is that guests has an incredible experience while learning how to consistently find and catch large trout. Each day is flexible and anglers will be given options that best suit them. Anglers should expect to see several large fish a day, catching them won't come easily but it is worth the effort!

Fish range in size but we common see trophy brook, cutthroat, splake and tiger trout. Some days the large fish won't be interested, other days an angler might catch multiple large trout. Fishing and location will vary slightly depending on dates.

Daily Itinerary

Sunday- Arrive the day before fishing starts, check into the hotel.

Monday- Meet the guides in the morning and depart for fishing. Evening class back at camp.

Tuesday-Friday- Fish from after breakfast to dinner. Classes and/or self guided fishing after dinner.

Saturday- Fish until roughly 5:00 pm. Say goodbyes and depart for home.

Breakfast is served at 8:30 am, after breakfast leave with our guide to fish and explore the area. Dinner is served around 6:00 pm. Clients are free to fish or explore the area before and after dinner. Please make sure at lease 2 people (at least 1 must be a staff member) know where you are going.

Physical Requirements

Guests should be able to hike at least 1 mile a day. There are several lakes/streams that we can drive to, however, we often hike around the lake in search of large fish. If you have mobility issues please let us know so we can plan ahead of time to fish certain areas that require less hiking.

Availability

We have available weeks in June, July, Sept and early Oct. Please contact us if you are interested in booking another week. Packing List

A packing list will be emailed to you once you have booked the trip with a deposit. We recommend printing off the packing list and using it to check items off the list and later double check in order to ensure you have all the essential gear.

Backcountry Safety

Along with the Packing List a Backcountry Safety Packet will be emailed to you once you have booked your trip. We take safety very serious. Every precaution possible is taken to ensure your safety. Here are some of the precautions we take to keep you safe:

  • Each guide carries a satellite communicator and a walkie talkie for emergencies and communication
  • First Aid kits are on hand
  • Food and scented items are stored 50 or more yards from camp
  • We carry extra gear for emergencies such as hypothermia

We review safety onsite to make sure everyone understands protocols and procedures.

Medical Information

If you have any health concerns, need special medications or any require our assistance please let us know. We want to help you be as safe as possible without disclosing information that is sensitive or personal. However, health risks that might put you or other trip members in danger are things that we need to know about in advance to allow us proper time to prepare.

Waiver

Each guest is required to sign a waiver stating that we are not responsible for injuries, sickness or other trip related risk associated with spending time in the backcountry . Waivers will be emailed to guests and need to be signed before the start of the trip.

How Many Fish Will I Catch?

  • Although it is possible to catch numerous large trout in a day, guests should keep in mind that we are here to target large, trophy fish. Those types of fish don't come easy. Our goal is to provide you with the best opportunity at catching a world class brook, cutthroat, splake or tiger trout. Our hope is that each guest will catch at least one large fish on the trip and more importantly, learn the skills necessary to repeat it without our help.

What Type of Wildlife Can We Expect to See?

  • Elk and deer are the most common, however it is possible to see bears, cougars, antelope, moose and various species of birds.

Booking Information

  • We accept payment via wire transfer, check or credit card.
  • Please be aware that any trip booked with a credit card will have a 3% processing fee added to the total amount
  • A guest is considered booked once the required deposit has been paid
  • Due to the logistics and associated costs of reserving hotel rooms, booking staff flights and purchasing trip specific gear; deposits are only refundable if the seat you occupy is filled
  • Full Payment is required 30 days prior to the start of the trip
  • With the exception of the deposit, the remaining trip balance is refundable up to 3 months prior to the start of the trip, within 3 months your seat must be filled to receive a refund
  • If your preferred method of payment is wire transfer or check you will receive an email containing payment instructions
